Engine: Yamaha 40TLRC Shopping experience: I was very happy to see that Crowley had almost all of the parts in stock, and easy to use diagrams to find part numbers. However, after ordering the parts, which all say 3-5 days to ship, my order was delayed without notification. I inquired about the delay after 15 days, at which point I was advised that a part was back-orderred and the entire shipment had been delayed. It was at that time that I asked them to split the shipment, and leave the other part on backorder to ship separately, which they said they would do the following day. 15 days later, they still had not shipped my parts. I emailed them again, and this time asked them to ship the parts ASAP as I had a waited for over 30 days at this point, and also that they should ship them 2nd day since they failed ship them out 15 days prior as they said they would. They did ship them out the following day, however they shipped them out FedEx Smartpost, which took another THIRTEEN DAYS to be delivered. So, overall, happy with the website, very unhappy with the customer support and shipping methods selected. I have since went to make repairs just before my fishing trip, and have found that an additional part is needed, which wouldn't have been a problem if I was able to attempt these repairs 30 days ago, when I should have had my parts. Engine: Yamaha C50TLRY Shopping experience: Not that great. Ordered 2 Yamaha outboard parts. One in stock held up from shipping by one order coming from the manufacturer. 3-5 days. When I asked for updates I just received standard, canned responses. After waiting days. I canceled the one order and ordered it from another vendor and received it within 3 days. But I waited Over 10 days before getting all the parts I needed for my project. Very frustrating communicating with Crowley regarding shipping times and part availability. Repair difficulty: Hard Repair time: More than 4 hours Repair symptoms: Blown center cylinder Complete bore and rebuild of 2001 Yamaha 50 HP C50TLRY.
