Repair difficulty: Medium Repair time: 1 to 2 hours Repair symptoms: Overheat issue The standard 24 year old Yamaha 2 stroke overheat issue, decided to replace the old suspect parts. Sunday- Pulled the heads and covers, totally clogged including broken bolts to complete the package. New Heads, gaskets, thermostats and housing covers- best price and quick delivery arrived Wednesday. Test drive on Saturday. Still hot, Sunday- ordered poppet valve since the "new" one was the "wrong" one from the previous owners repair. Also some new temp sensors just incase, even though I tested them you never know. Keeping my fingers crossed- if not I will be back to Crowley Marine for more parts and great service.
