Engine: Yamaha 25 Shopping experience: Awesome experience. Site is well laid out to find the parts you need. Everything I needed was in stock and shipped the same day. Repair difficulty: Medium Repair time: 1 to 2 hours Repair symptoms: Lower unit rebuild Individual who owned the motor before me had welded the lower unit housing. The weld had penetrated the inside of the housing and was holding the forward gear. Dis assembled the lower unit. Ground the inside of the housing so forward gear could rotate freely. Replaced forward gear, thrust bearing, seals etc.
