Intake Silencer Assembly 6H3-14440-02-00

I have scored this low for one primary reason - poor customer service. I placed my order for several Yamaha parts on July 10, 2025. On July 11, I received an email confirming the order and stating that one or more parts were non-stock items that would have to be ordered from another supplier, a process that "typically takes around 3-5 business days. The email also stated that the entire order would be held until the additional parts arrived at Crowley Marine. By July 21, I had received no updates on the status of the order so I called Crowley Marine to check on the order. At that time I was advised that the non-stock item had to be shipped from Japan and could take up to two months to get. No offer was made to go ahead and ship the in-stock parts, so I asked if it was possible to ship the in-stock items immediately and ship the "back-ordered" part later. I was told that could be done but I would have to pay an additional shipping charge of $4.95. I agreed and the order was split. I am disappointed in Crowley Marine's performance for three reasons. First, I was told the delay would be only 3 to 5 business days but was not updated that the delay would be 1 to 2 months. Second, I feel that, if a seller is unable to fulfill an order in one shipment, the seller should be responsible for any additional shipping charges. Third, even if the seller's policy is as stated above, given the fact that I was never advised of the additional delay, the additional shipping charge should have been waved. Had I been notified of the delay within a day or two after the original order was acknowledged, I would have had no problem. But if I had not made the call on July 21, I would not have received ANY of the parts until September 5th, which is when I received the non-stock part. Crowley Marine needs to do two things. 1. If an order is delayed beyond the original estimate, the customer should be immediately notified. 2. Conditions for adding an additional shipping charge to split an order should be stated in the check-out process.

Good price, product and delivery.

Shopping experience: I've used this store a few times and find the website very detailed and easy to use and considering it has to get delivered from America to the small island of orkney in Scotland where I live, delivery is always very fast. Engine: 1988 Yamaha 70 Shopping experience: I would have liked to have received my parts sooner and all at once. But the communication on them was excellent and everything I ordered arrived. When parts have to come from overseas during a pandemic you just have to understand there might be delays. But Crowley delivered. Thank you for keeping me up to date. Repair difficulty: Easy Repair time: Less than 30 mins Repair symptoms: Missing silencer and worn out trim solenoid along with broken carb linkage Nothing to tell. Bolted parts in place, fired her up.
