Engine: 9.9 hp Yamaha 1990 4 stroke electric start Shopping experience: OK, they had the parts. prices were Ok shipping a bit much for size of items. You have to be willing to pay for parts for an old motor. Repair difficulty: Easy Repair time: Less than 30 mins Repair symptoms: This keeps the motor locked so it goe straight Remove 10mm bolt and nut. replace the items. Easier with boat out of water as nut can drop into water and sink. Hold nut and washer on your finger with heavy grease. The part bends and one piece usually breaks ( aluminum ) if you hit the slip with motor up which is unavoidable if windy. I keep two extras.
