Engine: Yamaha 100Hp Shopping experience: Excellent! Had what I needed and got it to me pronto. THANKS! Repair difficulty: Hard Repair time: More than 4 hours Repair symptoms: tilt-trim piston seal leaking Could NOT get the hydraulic cylinder push-rod head off of the top shock pin. Did NOT have straight-line access to the inner end of the pin, to hammer it. [lubing with WD-40 throughout the process] After several other failed approaches, I tore handle out of 4" C-clamp, trying to push the pin out thru the bushings. Chopped on the bushings with a reciprocating saw, then a hammer & chisel. Bent a 6" C-clamp beyond usability. Chopped & chiseled some more on bushings. Broke a 6" clamp in-two. Eventually, (pounding, chopping, lubing, chiseling, prying, making 'helper pieces', and a lot of cursing) put an 8" C-clamp on it with a 15" crescent wrench helper, a series of 1/2" bolts (spacers), and pushed it on out. The old shock pin was really corroded! I don't ever want to go thru that again.
