Engine: Yamaha 25 Shopping experience: Great service as usual! Repair difficulty: Hard Repair time: 1 to 2 hours Repair symptoms: New head gasket I removed the carburetor assembly, disconnected any necessary electrical connections, removed timing belt (I failed to mark the position of the flywheels and lost my timing marks) then removed the head. I cleaned the remnants of the old head gasket then reinstalled the new head gasket that I had ordered from Crowley Marine. Everything went well except for figuring out how to reposition my timing belt 🙁. There are several different ° degree marks on the 25 Yamaha flywheel and I’m not sure what degree to use on the arrow mark. The flywheel is marked: 30° 25° 20° 15° 10° 5° 0° 5° 10°. Without a manual I’m not sure where to go with the flywheel position. Not much on YouTube about this.
