Engine: 2002 Yamaha 200 hp Shopping experience: I had a hard time trying to order my parts online. I could not go back and make changes since there was so many quality issues for my order. But when I called and spoke the representative was great and help me get my whole order together Repair difficulty: Hard Repair time: 2 to 4 hours Repair symptoms: Trim and tilt leaking I had the help of a friend who has more experience on the outboard motor than I. We borrowed the tool necessary to work on the trim and tilt and took it apart and replaced all the O-rings etc. Be sure to see how you take things apart so you know how to put them back together and I recommend taking a few photos before totally take it apart helps you remember how to put back together. It now seems to be working very well. Have not had it out on the water yet.

Engine: Yamaha VZ 200 Repair difficulty: Hard Repair time: 2 to 4 hours Repair symptoms: Leaking at the tilt/trim pump to tilt/trim assembly Replaced tilt /trim pump to tilt /trim assembly o-ring seals due to a fluid leak the three bolts holding the pump to the assembly broke off at the head due to corrosion around the bolt shanks and pump assembly so i had to use a hammer to beat the pump off of the bolts that were still screwed into the tilt/ trim assembly. after getting the pump off then i had to heat each bolt with a torch to get them out of the tilt assembly. after disassembled there was alot of corrosion on the o-ring sealing surface of the pump so i used a knife sharpening stone and cutting oil to resurface/lap the entire face of the pump sealing surface. i then cleaned everything and reassembled using new o-rings and new bolts
