Engine: Yamaha HPDI 250 Shopping experience: I was very happy with the service I received. Even though my order was placed on Christmas Eve, I received my parts very quickly. The website was very easy to navigate and the PayPal payment option is phenomenal. Repair difficulty: lProfessional Repair time: More than 4 hours Repair symptoms: There is a lot of slack in the steering arm when trimming the motor. I had to remove the lower unit and pull the power head so that I could disassemble the steering arm from the motor bracket and replace the arm and bushings. I replaced the motor mounts (both uppers and lowers) and tilt bushings while I had the motor apart. I also replaced the water pump housing and impeller. I used all new bolts, washers and o rings when replacing the mounts and bushings. My annual maintenance includes new fuel system filters and lower unit oil/inspection. I’ll be prepared for the spring spawn!!

Shopping experience: I needed some parts to repair my Yamaha 150. Ordering and paying were no problem but I was told there would be a few days delay as some of the parts would need to be ordered from Yamaha and that I would be notified when the order shipped. After TWO WEEKS I called and after being on hold for 15 minutes was told that all the parts EXCEPT ONE had been received but that one was back ordered and no idea when it would arrive. I asked that the remainder be shipped immediately and the back ordered part refunded. They agreed but said it would be FIVE days before it would ship. The part was credited after five days. After TEN days of not getting a shipping notice I called again and after holding for another 15+ minutes was told that the parts had not been shipped but would be PRIORITIZED and sent out in FIVE days. After EIGHT days I was ready to call my credit card company and cancel my $600.00 + order when I was notified it had shipped. The correct parts did finally arrive after more than 30 days. My primary complaints are broken promises for shipping without being notified of the problem, the slowness of getting parts on hand shipped, and the wait time to speak to someone about my order.
