Engine: 1999 Yamaha 30 hp outboard Shopping experience: excellent -- only improvement would be if shipping to Canada was available Repair difficulty: Easy Repair time: Less than 30 mins Repair symptoms: Engine runs rough at idle and in lower rev range -- smooths out as engine accelerates into higher rev ranges. New plugs made no difference l Isolated faulty cylinder by idling engine and detaching plugs one at a time. When the detached plug made no difference to the idle, that was the faulty cylinder. Replaced old coil and plug cap with new ones. Done,
