I placed 2 orders with Crowley Marine. The 1st order came in very quick and was correct. I placed a 2nd order on August 29th. On September 5th, I was sent an email asking how my shopping experience was on my second order was. The problem was, I haven't received my 2nd order. I was fishing offshore , so I didn't see the email until Sept 9th. We opened up a ticket to find the order. They have been holding the order because a $ 2.00 O ring is out of stock. I never heard from Crowley that they were holding my order and only found this out when they sent a customer service survey. If I never opened the email with the survey, I would not have known my order was being held. I could have placed this same order with my local Yamaha dealer that is 30 minutes away, but I figured paying $ 4.95 for shipping saved me an hour of round trip driving to order the part and another hour of round trip driving to pick up the $ 2.00 part. BTW Yamaha's warehouse is 2 miles away from my local dealer. I aske Crowley when the $ 2.00 O ring will be in stock. In 2 days, I am headed out of town for 10 days, so if they ship my order now, It will be sitting outside my gate for possibly 10 days and possibly picked up by a passer by. I can order the $ 2.00 O ring from ebay, but the shipping is $ 5.95 and it will be sitting outside for 10 days. I guess I will order it from my local dealer and spend 2 plus hours of time driving and burning more than $4.95 in gas.
