Engine: Yamaha F40 TLRY Shopping experience: Great info that allowed me to match parts that were needed. Ordering and Shipping was easy and fast, shipped from Mississippi to Washington in a week ! Repair difficulty: Easy Repair time: 1 to 2 hours Repair symptoms: Lower unit wouldn’t shift, prop could not be turned by hand when in neutral. Dropped bad lower unit after watching YouTube videos, my F40 needed an extra step in that I had to unscrew the shifting rod nut and undo the pitot tube at front of lower unit to get it to drop out completely. Only one YouTube video mentioned that extra step.
