Engine: '86 Yamaha 50ELJ Shopping experience: I've had excellent experiences and service from Crowley. They normally always have the parts I need, especially for my older outboards. I'll definitely shop here again, and would recommend them to anyone. Repair difficulty: Easy Repair time: Less than 30 mins Repair symptoms: Prop bushing went out and caused the motor to over-rev with any amount of throttle beyond idle. Coming in from fishing when the motor revved WAY up, and wouldn't let me give any throttle over an idle. Talked to members of a forum I belong to and they all came to the same conclusion. Worn out prop bushing. So I ordered a new prop, as the old one was pretty beat up anyway and a bushing. Upon arrival, I realized I didn't need the bushing as the new prop had one installed already. Swapped out the prop in a minutes time and sent back the bushing, as it was never opened.
