Engine: 25hp Yamaha long shaft Shopping experience: I ordered some parts from Crowley marine The parts came in and there was one part missing I called them and they immediately sent the forgotten part and I had it within the next couple days overall was a good experience ordering from this company. Repair difficulty: Medium Repair time: 1 to 2 hours Repair symptoms: Float sticking in carburetor I recently acquired a 15 foot aluminum johnboat with a 25 horse Yamaha outboard that has been sitting for 10 years at least and I did all the repairs on the boat that was needed then I took the boat out for his first test run brought it home parked it and afterwords the float started sticking closed in the carburetor so I replaced the seat and neither well thinking maybe from sitting for so long that was the problem but it is still sticking close not allowing the fuel The flow after it sits so now I remove the gas line from the motor and will it run out of gas in the carburetor so it will not stick I have not had a chance to get back to it to see if that is working any information That anybody could offer would be deeply appreciated.
